After all the years at Taft we finally got a new weight room. The weight room is used for all different types of sports such as football, basketball, softball, baseball, and many more.
The newly remodeled weight room located in room 228 was made to see better and more improvement in our student athletes. More than 400 student athletes will be using this new facility to improve their strength and agility.
“I Like the weight room, it’s better than last year and it has more,” said senior Stephen Carrera, a member of the Taft Football Team.
“This should have been here earlier but overall it’s a 10/10,” said Jayden Figgy, another member of the Taft Football Team.
“The obvious reason [for getting a new weight room] is that it was too small,” said Principal Ryan Glowacz. “We will have new equipment by January.”
“I am truly grateful for the expansion of the weight room for the betterment of our stakeholders working collectively,” said Mark Madden, Strength and Conditioning Teacher. I am absolutely grateful to be teaching in our environment, and I have been taught a few things in this world: ‘patience is a kindness and good things come to those who work hard, stay loyal, and continually strive for improvement.’”
Overall, the new addition of the weight room is very beneficial to students and athletes, giving them more opportunity to get bigger and stronger.
