The Miles County Clown, otherwise known as Art the Clown, has been a slasher in the horror trilogy since the first movie he was in all the way back in 2008 being named “The 9th Circle.”
Ever since then the actor for Art has changed only once from the actor for the first three movies. Mike Giannelli who played Art in “The 9th Circle” “Terrifier 2011” and “All Hallows Eve” has been changed to David Howard Thornton who has been the actor for Art for “Terrifier” 1, 2, and 3.
The “Terrifier” franchise has had the infamous black and white clown since 2008. With the popularity of horror films in recent years, Art has made a return. To horror fans’ delight, “Terrifier 3” was released on Oct. 11.
“The movie was very good, I would definitely recommend it to other people. Although I would definitely recommend watching the first two before watching the third movie,” said Khari Williams, junior.
“Terrifier” 1 and 2 were both described by Khari as a build up for “Terrifier 3” and that they should both be watched before watching “Terrifier 3” to get better context on the movie.
Although it is not recommended that you watch them if you have a weak heart or stomach because the kills in all 3 “Terrifiers” are beyond gruesome. “‘Terrifier 3’ was a very good movie I will say that, but they definitely toned it down on the gore by a lot,” said Sebastian Taffino, sophomore.
“Some of the scenes would’ve probably traumatized me if my friend didn’t tell me they were extremely weird because half of them were completely unnecessary,” said Scarlett Johnson, sophomore.
“Terrifier 3” compared to the other 2 has been described as “less gory.” This is mainly because the “Terrifier” movies are well known for the franchises over the top gruesome kill scenes.
The “Terrifier” series is said to continue to a new movie and presumably the last one of the franchise titled “Terrifier 4” there is still a chance we could see the Miles County clown return again in the future.
