In the world of fast food chicken there are always arguments about which is better: Raising Canes or Chick-Fil-A. Both chains have passionate fans, signature sauces, and long drive thru lines. But while they both serve up good chicken they approach it in very different ways.
Chick-Fil-A has a variety of breakfast options and is known for their great service, while Canes sticks to a more simple menu based around their chicken fingers, toast, and sauce. Overall, both places serve many of the same things that could be very easily comparable.
I think Chick-Fil-A is better than Canes. I think their chicken is more crispy, and I think their fries and their sauce are better. I asked multiple people in the Taft community about their opinions on both places and which one was their favorite.
Taft junior Jalisa Ross said, “I don’t really have a preference for either one, being a worker at Canes I probably eat Canes more but they can both be good at times. They can both also be bad at times. I also think both of them wouldn’t be good if they didn’t have the sauce.”
Taft junior Malik Mohammed said, “I choose Chick-Fil-A because their chicken is not as bland as Canes, and it actually tastes like flavor. From Chick- Fil- A I get 2 spicy chicken sandwiches, a 4 piece chicken tender meal with an ice cream cone and a cookie.”
It is a common trend that Chick-Fil-A is more favored than Canes. A lot of the people I interviewed agreed with me when I said that Canes is soggy and doesn’t have much flavor without the sauce.
Taft sophomore Jaida Matos said, “I choose Chick-Fil-A because there is more range on the menu, they also have breakfast, and they have a lot more drinks along with ice cream milkshakes and other desserts.”
Ultimately, Chick-Fil-A stands out as the best restaurant due to their great customer service and their high quality food. All Chick-Fil-A locations are always very clean and a joy to eat at.
