“Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter is a new song that has been circling the internet since the release date. It has been on everyone’s radar and is becoming the song of the summer.
“I Love Espresso,” Anna Jaramillo, Taft senior, stated.
The music video for “Espresso” gives a beachy vibe, it looks very 2000s. Many think the lyrics are very catchy and match the style of the artist. The title of the song itself really does catch people’s attention.
The artist herself has made albums such as Fruitcake, Eyes Wide Open, Emails I Can’t Send, and many more. This is very surprising because the artist is only 24 years old. She’s also an actress. Some of the movies and TV shows she stars in are Tall Girl, The Short History of the Long Road, Girl Meets World and many more.
“I like Sabrina Carpenter, her album Emails I Can’t Send is my favorite,” Maeve Deane, Taft junior, stated.
Sabrina Carpenter was really put in the blazing spotlight by drama that was a part of another up and coming artist, Olivia Rodrigo. Many Rodrigo fans strongly disliked Carpenter because of some issues but they were resolved. After the drama calmed down, Carpenter’s reputation skyrocketed and got much praise after releasing songs that many of her fans could relate to.
“I’m so excited to see how she transitions her songs to mend to her new album coming out this summer!” Sophia Perez, Taft senior, said.
Carpenter has really become the face of music and many are excited to see what she will bring in the future. Will she be in a movie? Maybe make another album? We will have to wait and see what will come next for this artist.
